In these days I had to update my Europass resume to apply for some vacancies. I’ve this gap from March up to now in which seems I didn’t do anything. Instead in this 9 months I carried to term a pregnancy, I delivered a baby, I’m raising him up and I’m managing the house. In other words you can say I founded a program, I’m managing it, monitoring and caring for accountability. Yes because manage an house, take care of an husband (yes even the husbands need care) and a child can teach you much more then 10 years experience in any field. Let’s think about it: you have to be multitasking (the baby is crying, the pasta is overcooking, the table as to be settled…), develop your problem solving skills (you will learn how to do an uncountable number of things with only one harm because the other is holding your 3-6-8-10 kgs cute baby), managing different deadlines and proper planning of activities (cleaning, backing, cooking, ironing, feeding, create toys and games etc) and most of them budget everything (when a new born child comes in a family you have to budget, because everything just change!). Why can’t I add this as a work experience in my resume? Of course there will be a problem about the range of salary because I don’t know where to place happiness and love but really what we women learn in this period of our lives it’s valuable.About planning in the last period I had really many things to do….many projects to develop and I realized that the organization of the house was falling apart. Moreover my dyslexia doesn’t help me to put in the right order the things: the result was anarchy!

So I decided to organize myself in a kind of crafty way: I created a month plan, based on week

and month activities all decorated. So I created a weekly plan sheet with the days of the week. Then some labels with months and numbers. I created a notice board where to place weekly and monthly activities to be placed later in the weekly plan. What I did is to print 4 weekly plans and hang them on the kitchen door; I didn’t have Velcro (could have been the easy peasy way) so I covered all with transparent adhesive

book cover to be able to stick and remove any time I need. I added an envelope with all the remaining labels and I decorated a bit with some stickers. This really help me to plan week by week what I’ve to do, remember when I did and show to myself that I really work hard and I don’t stay at home doing nothing (as some people may thing…maybe).

I almost did the same for Giovanni’s plan. This time there are fixed tasks (change beddings, wash towels, change pajama, bath time, wash toys etc) that are really unpredictable because with these babies it’s impossible to plan anything.

So here you can find free printable sheets, labels, decorations and the notice board.

I think this can be used in so many other way (plan homework, festive season activities, school activities, workplans) and I hope can be useful for some of you.
