My craft adventure...the beginning#3

Here is the last post about my beginning....so we said my tools by now are some buttons, the magical big shot and....and something I discovered one month ago that really changed my crafts. The scoring board (called even scoring pad or in many other way..) so what is it? Is simply a board that allows you to score precisely. And maybe you are waiting for the magic like some more special effects...there is no more magic. The fact is with scoring you can score perfectly a card (believe me is not something to give for granted) but you can even make tons of boxes, envelopes and so much more. This is something really wonderful! I was very lucky that a good friend went to New York so, and through another good friend, I was able to buy it directly from the USA (where things are so much cheaper...). The very marvelous thing of my scoring board is that trims too. This means I can cut and score what I need. You don't know how much it has been difficult for me to trim straight lines. Now I don't have this problem anymore (more or less).

I also purchased 15 ink pads from US. Okay they were very cheap and the quality is not exactly the the best but are better than nothing. Now I've very many colours that I can use in my projects. Then of course I discovered they were from china and they are present in my favorite website...but this is another issue.

Lastly I got some new dies from USA (eheheh this is called addiction) that you'll see in the next posts and a set of patterned paper . I love patterned papers and which is not available here in Kenya (exept something I'll show you). So I got this set that is really nice (only one side of the papers is decorated). I don't know yet what I'll do with them (just like all things that are too beautiful I'm fear to use them) but we'll see. And ...(finally!) new items arrived from China. They took so long that I almost lost hope. Actually I'm still waiting for some more but hope never disappoints. So here are beautiful butterflies (I was enchanted by them) and some small buttons (very small, I imagined them bigger but they are so cute!) we'll see when something else will arrive!

Last photos are about my craft space. In many videos I saw craft rooms. One day I'll have a craft room but by now it's occupied by Giovanni. So I have a craft wall. Here you find some photos (this is the ordered version...imagine when is a mess!). I undersood crafting brings mess around. At the beginning I was loosing dies around, stamps, papers where everywhere...So I'm trying to understand how to organize well my desk. Here is what I've done: I transformed a shoe rack into a shelf where I organized the different materials in boxes, on the desk I stuck a magnetic tape to place the dies I use and an achrylic trasparent strip to place the stamps. It works quiet well for now.
