Here it is! The new post about my craft adventure. I have a lot to share and I've still a lot to create so is better to update you a bit.

Valentine's day finished and I showed you some creations I made (my favorites; mostly cards, some boxes and some home decor.

In the last week end I decided to take a break on card making and I explored new planets: the planet of scrapbooking. I did some projects before, I decorated some albums, but nothing like I tried in these days (actually one full week end).

So here is what I made and how I made it (it's not a tutorial, I'm not good in taking step by steps pics!!):

1) Notebooks: I love notebooks and I have a kind of a collection in my house. Then I saw a wonderful tutorial on youtube by an Italian crafter called Sandra of l'Arte Vista da Me (here the tutorial tha inspired me) and I decided to try making something. So I made several (it was really fun!!) of these notebooks using some african fabrics. I had a lot of fun sewing paper and I think I will never buy a notebook anymore, I'll just make them!

In the inside part I created a small pocket with some decorations and tags (if you wonder for what they are...I don't know...you can use as kind of sticky notes and so on). Then they are just plain.

Since I had a loot of fun I tried to make something more particular so I created a...bhooo I don't know what it is....it can be a notebook or a travel journal or a photo album. Bho maybe you can suggest (here on the side there is the comment space!!!) So I created small pokets, some embellishements, tags and some scrapbooking papers.

SInce a friend's daughter celebrated her first year, I couldn't resist to make a handmade gift and since I was in the scrapbooking mood I made (I tried) a mini album...my problem (as usual) are the decorative papers that give really a special touch to the creation...since I don't have very many I did some experiments with watercolour and stencils (what I had). I've to say that I really liked the fact of creating something from scratches even if I'm not an artist so the result is...bhe let's say is what is...I liked the fact that this album can be both or a photo album or a book to keep memories of the first year. Here some photoes, I followed this tutorial to create the basic structure.

Finishing this post and the creations of the past weekend (I made quiet some items I've to say) I made some embellishments, because of course here they don't exist. I used mainly sizzix dies, some scraps of pattern papers and coloured cardstocks and I've been very inspired by pintrest (I created a new board, if you want to see what inspired me).

So now I finish this post...if you liked it soon I will open a shop online where will be possible to buy (some) creations.

Hugs

Martina
