Hallo Friends,

I've decided to update you every end of the month with a sort of summary of what has happened during the month (since I'm not really able to update so often the blog).

In this month I've started a new collaboration with a private local school. This new project really canalized all my energies (let's say most of them) and I'm enthusiastic about it. Basically I'm helping the teachers to plan lessons that are helping the children with learning difficulties to follow the lessons. It's really a big task and I've been given a lot of responsibility and of trust. This is another episode when I found really someone who believe in me more than myself and see something that I didn't know before.

This new adventure has open me to a new world: the kibera slum. Kibera is a big slum in Nairobi and yes I visited it before but something is when you visit it, different is when you start to accompany the people (in this case the children) who live there. Maybe I'll talk to you about this in another post!!

Actually the beginning of this work brought many new adventures like going around with matatu (the kenyan public transports) new friendships and new knowledge (yes I'm really studying a lot).

Another thing happened in May I visited a craft fair in Nairobi, in the neighbourhood of Karen (named after Karen Blixer the one of Out of Africa). There I finally met Michela, an Italian who lives in Nairobi (more or less) and who does beautiful creations. I suggest you to visit Eclastic website to see the magic she does recycling bottles. I've been really happy to meet her and I hope that in future we'll be able to do something together. Is very rare to find people who can encourage you and helping you to understand where to go and what to do; and is surprising finding all this in a person with who you chatted few times.

Coming to Giovanni he is a funny boy. Now he started to walk (first steps) to climb and to say few words. His first word is UVA (mean grapes) and he is so so happy to be able to spell it. It's surprising seeing how he relates with the world around him, always with enthusiasm and wonder. I really understand that I've to learn from him.

So that is what happened in the past month. I promise you I'll try to post more, but you people know my promises!!
