When cards are not only cards.

I wanted to share with you something that has happened in the last months, something really special.

As you know I make mostly wishing cards. What I do is to build the product with the costumer; once he/she contact me I try to understand the desires, the characteristic of what he/she wants and than I make it. This "process" make me discover so many stories behind these paper crafts.

For example during Valentine I received some requests from soldiers in Somalia. They are fight for their country but they have families and girlfriends to who they wanted to show their love. One sent a card to his daughter, another to his wife. Immediately I tough about Alpins, yes the soldiers who where fighting for Italy during world wars; they were singing songs and writing letter home to show their love to their families, children, wives. Surely times have changed: they contacted me trough whatsapp and we deliver for them but the sentiment and the meaning i the same. The smile of the daughter who received the card really changed the meaning of that card.

Recently two more things like this happened, similar even if very different. Two women asked me to prepare a gift for their man. The messages where so delicate and sincere that I really felt lucky to be chosen to safeguard their deepest feelings.

All these stories really changed the way of making these cards because when you see someone trusting in you so much and giving to you such a treasure you have to make the best of you to create something really beautiful for them.
