Bluepost-Thika fun for children

Find something to do with children in Nairobi (on our side of Nairobi maybe) is not the easiest task. Find something that cost little is even more difficult. Out of Nairobi (30 minutes from our house) there is an hotel, in a small town called Thika. This Hotel is called Bluepost. Me and my husband where used to go sometimes, when we were stressed (especially because of the wedding preparation/work); we were enjoying the quiet atmosphere, the good food (for reasonable prices) and the sound of the waterfalls.

On top of all this you can add a small kind of animal park (a very small zoo) at affordable prices (for children is around 100 or 200 Kenyan Shillings-1/2 Euros) where a guide can take you around showing you all the species and can allow you to touch some of the animals.

Giovanni had a great time there, enjoying looking at the animals and admiring the local monkeys jumping from one branch to the other. Hi favorite animal was the ostrich I guess because of its big eyes or the fact that wa the only animal who really come closer. He really enjoyed the time and admired the waterfall (maybe he wanted even to take a bath).

Here some of the photos of this small adventure, but we know for children even the smaller and simpler things are source of wonder and discovery.
