Why is better to go handmade

Hallo Friends!

Last week we had a party for a girl, friend of Giovanni and our friend's daughter and I had the idea to gift her a new product I'm developing. There are periods when I've new loops, sometimes is for beads, sometimes is for felt, this time is for BLACKBOARD! As I wrote sometimes back I'm trying to concentrate on paper crafts but I need even to explore what my creativity and imagination suggest me. So I create small capsule collections and I see if people like them or not.

In any case I created this blackboard made with wonderful wood (okay the wood work was made by Mr. Kingo!!) and decorated it with craft foam. I made a small felt bag where to store the chalks but can be used as eraser. Since the girl loves princesses I made a card with the siluette of the princess.

I really loved make this craft but what left me astonished was the reaction of the father, when he saw it. He was enthusiastic! He was excited because I made that one for his daughter, because I used my creativity, my hands and my time to make something special and unique for his girl. I was really moved by this episode and is through this facts that I realize that I'm doing the right thing in the right moment. An handmade item is exactly this: a mix of love, care, uniqueness and creativity. Anything handmade (from a good dish to a tailored dress) it's done with all these ingredients and is what makes it special.
