ABOUT ME

 

My name is Martina a young adventurerous mother. I live in Nairobi, Kenya, together with my husband Simon and our son Giovanni. This blog is made for friends, relatives and curious people who want to be updated about our adventures.

I know you are asking yourselves: what is Riko? Riko in Kikuyu (my husband's  mother tongue) means fireplace. The fireplace is the place where people cook, stay together and share the life. It was where the grandparents  used to transmit to the children their culture and traditions. I imagine this blog like such a place, a warm meeting point where I tell you what I discover , cook, burn and destroy day by day.
