Why is better to go handmade

Hallo People!

If you have checked on the Facebook page last week I posted a new item I've been asked to make for a young lady's birthday.

I created this blackboard made with wonderful wood and decorated it with flowers and butterflies made with craft foam. I made a small felt bag where to store the chalks but can be used as eraser. Since the girl loves princesses I made a card with the silhouette of the princess.

I really loved make this craft but what left me astonished was the reaction of the father, when he saw it. He was enthusiastic! He was excited because I made that one for his daughter, because I used my creativity, my hands and my time to make something special and unique for his girl. I was really moved by this episode and is through this facts that I realize that I'm doing the right thing in the right moment. An handmade item is exactly this: a mix of love, care, uniqueness and creativity. Anything handmade (from a good dish to a tailored dress) it's done with all these ingredients and is what makes it special.
